What we do

Note to New Parents

This is a short note to tell you about the work that the PTA does for our school and to invite you to join our team.

We were formed in 2001 when the schools amalgamated with the primary aim of raising much-needed funds for the school to buy additional resources for the children. We have had a very successful three years and have bought a wide variety of things that are not covered by the school's statutory funds.

Our main fund raising project has been for outdoor play equipment in Key Stage 1 and KS2 and we are proud to announce that our hard work has paid off and timber trails have now been installed in both Key Stage play areas.

We raise money in a variety of ways that the children will enjoy as well as involving parents and teachers. The PTA organises regular discos for the children, a ladies indulgence evening has been very successful and our recent spellathon collected over £1000 that will be used to buy a handwriting programme for the school. Our biggest money maker so far has been the summer fair which takes a lot of organising and hard work, which we wouldn't be able to do without the help of parents.

The PTA is desperate for new parents to join our team and help make this new year even more successful. We meet informally every four to six weeks at school and welcome anybody that is interested. It's a good way to meet other parents, make some new friends and have some fun at the same time. We send out regular newsletters with dates of meetings and updates of events that will be happening.
We hope to see your there!

Many Thanks Back to top
