Medicines

Please note that the Medical Officer for South Gloucestershire has instructed that school staff should not administer medicines such as doctor- prescribed antibiotics, analgesics etc. However for certain long-term problems e.g. hay fever, severe allergies etc, it may be possible for the parents to sign an indemnity form. There are certain regulations governing this and parents need to see the Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher before sending any medication to school. No child should be in possession of any medicine other than asthma inhalers. Back to top
